Celiac Disease
Celiac Disease is a disease that has become more prominent in today’s society affecting many people. Celiac disease (dz.) is an Autoimmune disorder reaction to Gluten or simply a FOOD ALLERGY. A more complex definition is Celiac dz. is a chronic intestinal malabsorption disorder caused by intolerance to gluten, characterized by a flat jejunal (section of small intestine) mucosa with clinical and/ or histological improvement following withdrawal of dietary gluten (Def. The Merck Manual). Celiac disease can begin as early as infancy. There is no single typical presentation. Celiac’s presents with many similar symptoms as other diseases such as; weight loss, anemia, bone pain, paresthesia, edema, skin disorders, diarrhea, abdominal distention & discomfort. Celiac’s is confirmed by biopsy but a favorable response when gluten is removed from the diet is a good confirmation.
According to Dr. David Perlmutter (neurologist) Celiac disease can mimic Multiple Sclerosis (MS). He has found with numerous patients that have been diagnosed with MS really had Celiac disease. Celiac can cause plaquing on the brain just as MS does. This plaquing has been one of the signs to confirming MS along with other neurological symptoms. He found that when the stress from gluten is removed from the diet the patient’s symptoms improved.
Celiac disease can result in major lifestyle modifications. Not only affecting the individual but also affecting family and friends. Everyone is affected because you have to be cognizant of gluten when preparing meals. Also, Celiac’s makes it difficult to go out to eat because most restaurants meals are not gluten free. This is one good reason not feed infants solid foods before some of their teeth come in. Prior to having teeth infants don’t have the digestive enzymes to properly digest foods and this will almost always develop in a food allergy such as Celiac’s. So don’t feed infants solid foods before their body is developed to handle these foods.
What else can be done for Celiac disease besides avoiding foods with gluten because this is not always practical? Celiac as stated earlier is a food allergy resulting in an autoimmune disorder. This causes stress to the nervous system and this stress needs to be eliminated which can be done with the BAX-Aura. The BAX-Aura is a Neurological Stress Reduction Therapy unit measures stress levels to the nervous system. The BAX-Aura identifies the substance which causes stress levels to rise. Once these substances are identified then neurological stress reduction is achieved using our proprietary Laser technique resulting in fast safe results. Celiac disease and other food allergies respond well to the BAX-Aura treatment and No needles, No shots & No medicines are used.
