Meet Dr. Jeremy Johnson

    Dr. Jeremy C. Johnson

For years I suffered with lower back pain from participating in sports, and doctor after doctor told me that they couldn't find anything wrong.  They gave me pain medication and told me it would go away and get better over time.

Flash forward five years…I am working in a gym as a personal trainer and the gym is sponsoring a health fair.  I was going around looking at the different booths and I came across a chiropractor.  I had always heard that chiropractors could help with lower back pain but I was a bit skeptical because I didn't know anyone that had been to one, but I thought I would see what he had to say.

I told him that I had some lower back issues, and that I had been to numerous doctors and nobody had been able to figure out what the problem is.  He checked my posture and then felt my spine and said 'I bet the source of your problem is right here' and then touched it with his finger.  At that point I knew that this guy knew what he was talking about because he was the only person that was able to pinpoint 'the spot.'

I went to his office for further evaluation and again he pinpointed 'the spot.'  Then he gave me my first adjustment.  It felt pretty good and I knew that this had some real potential.  I followed his recommendations and before long, I realized that I had not had a major 'flare up' in quite some time and I also realized that I was stronger, faster, and more coordinated than ever before.

That's when I made the decision to become a chiropractor, so that I would be able to help people through proper alignment, nutrition, and exercise, just like he helped me, and to not merely cover up the pain.

    Educational Experience

I went to school at Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, TX because they have an excellent curriculum with many different techniques and I knew that I would get a quality education.  One thing that I didn't know was how life changing it would be.  The people that I met, the classes that I took, and the instructors that I had really inspired me.  They took what I thought chiropractic was, back pain, and opened my eyes to what it really is, total body health and wellness.

I am proud to say that I graduated with honors in the top of my class and that I was chosen to be in the Who's Who Among American Colleges and Universities.

    Practice Philosophy and Objectives

I love skeptics, I still remember the concerns and questions I had when I went to the chiropractor for the first time. So I make it a point to explain everything in advance, answer all questions and generally help patients to feel at ease. I think they really appreciate that.

My vision is to support as many people as possible in their quest for health and to educate them about chiropractic so they may in turn educate others.

    Personally Speaking

I have been married to my wonderful wife Heidi for almost 20 years, and we have a wonderful son Austin, who is 13, and we have beautiful identical twin girls Anna and Ashley who are 11.  We also have two dogs, Buster and Daisy.

In my spare time I enjoying coaching my kids in baseball and softball, working out, watching college football, and spending time with my family.

I make sure that I get adjusted at least once per week.  My family is also adjusted on a regular basis too...the kids all play baseball and softball year round so they get adjusted weekly in season to keep their bodies performing optimally.  Austin, Anna and Ashley are true 'chiro babies;' they were all three adjusted within minutes of birth and have been adjusted regularly ever since.

I do some form of workout almost daily and really watch what I eat. I figure if I am going to ask patients to live a healthy lifestyle with chiropractic, diet and exercise, I had better walk the talk.

Enough about me! Let's find out about you. I consider myself an excellent listener and hope I get the opportunity to meet you in person and discuss your specific health challenges.  Please give the office a call or click on the Email the Doctor at the bottom of the page.  Thank you for visiting our site. I hope it can be a source of hope and healing.
